Congratulations Ellen and David!

I just LOVE photographing Weddings in Canandaigua ... there's something about the water and beach atmosphere that makes everything so dreamy. :) (beach photos later in the post) When I first saw Ellen and her girls getting ready at the Inn on the Lake I was immediately swept up with happiness. They were all so adorable and fun loving. There were two little flower girls too...the cutest little red heads you've ever seen. Ellens dress was sexy and stunning ...just like her...just beautiful.

We quickly got ready and headed off to the church down the street. Canandaigua has amazing Cathedral churches along Main st. I love photographing them; so glorious.

The guests were starting to come in; the guys were getting their boutineers and everyone was so happy to see on another.

Our very excited Groom, David...looking especially handsome and was all smiles.

It wasn't long before the Processional began ... here comes the Bride!

See? This church was amazing...

I always love it when something causes the couple to laugh during the ceremony. They're just as beautiful if it doesn't happen, but when it does, it's just so cute and candid.

You may now kiss the Bride!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.!

We had a perfect blue sunny day for the receiving line after the ceremony. I know they can take a while to get through sometimes, but it's so nice for the guests to congratulate the couple right away rather than having to wait hours sometimes before they see them again. It's such a celebratory moment and I love capturing all the smiles after the ceremony.

We got through the formals in the church as quickly as we could because we were all excited to head off to the beach for the more casual and fun photos! And to pop the champagne! (not me of course) :)

Ok that's it! We're off to the beach! (these, as in all my posts, are only some of the photos from the Big Day; I condense everything so I can get back to work!) :)

The girls were extremely beautiful, and the guys were really really funny ... so it made for a great time as we went through the formals...though they don't really feel like formals when I'm photographing ... we're just having fun and getting the shots we will always want for keepsakes.

These are just a few of my favorites from the Bride and Groom shots

Off to the Cocktail hour and Reception !! It was so great to be able to have it outside; lake front. It was perfectly breezy, horderves were plentiful and presented beautifully, and everyone was happy visiting and the kids were running around together having fun.

A bridesmaid and her husband share a private moment relaxing on the Adirondak chairs facing the lake...so cute!

Once the hour was up, people started making their way into the Inn to the Grand Ballroom where the Bridal party made their grand entrance and the new Mr. and Mrs. shared their first dance together.

Once the cheering subsided, the toasts were made, dinner was served, and dancing shortly followed

After dinner and before it started to get dark, I quickly took them outside to get a few shots in front of the marina under the full moon!

Time to cut the cake!!

After the cake was cut, I got a few shots of their Wedding rings. Ellens was SO cool...it was designed and hand crafted to resemble Van Gogh's 'Starry Night'. Swirls carved into the metal with diamonds floating around it as if they were stars...amazing.

Now on to the dancing !!

This groomsman was hillarious! He was always ready with a funny smile.

Congratulations Ellen and David! Your Wedding was Beautiful and you are an adorable couple...it was an honor for me to capture these memories and details from your special day!

Happy Honeymoon!

Trash the Dress!

Oh my gosh ~ I had the enormous pleasure of photographing my first "Trash the Dress" session! Whomever invented this type of shoot was a genius and I truly hope that more of my brides ask me to do this for them *hint hint* !
Terri and Michael were just adorable together ... we met at Stony Brook State Park and for those of you that have never been there, you must go right away ...especially during the Fall ...it's amazing. Stony Brook is one of my most favorite places so when they asked me to take the photos there, I jumped for joy! I went prepared wearing a bathing suit under my clothes as well as my aqua shoes ... I got right in the water with them and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I still can't believe that I get to be a photographer sometimes. I absolutely love what I do and hope that my couples enjoy their photos for their lifetime together. Thank you Terri and Michael for giving me this incredible experience !!
Here are some of my favorites from the shoot ~ Enjoy!
